The Render Options panel (Render > Options command) allows you to specify rendering methods and resolution.
You can choose one of the following methods:
Wireframe
Hidden line
Flat
Gouraud
Phong
Scanline preview
Scanline full
Raytrace preview
Raytrace full
Renderings are automatically saved in the /solidThinking/Images folder with progressive numbering (filename.st~n.bmp where n is a progressive numbering). Renderings are saved as .bmp (Windows bitmap) files.
In the Width and Height fields you can adjust horizontal and vertical resolution in pixels of the final image, respectively.
The Predefined resolutions pop-up menu lets you choose among some frequently used values:
320 x 240
640 x 480
760 x 576
800 x 600
1024 x 768
1280 x 1024
Once you have defined these options, you can start rendering your scenes.
Choose the Render > Render current view command or use the Win / Mac shortcut to generate the image at the fixed resolution.
The final image will be progressively displayed while it is computed. At the end of the process, the image title bar will display the total rendering time.
